Adoption Home Study
An Adoption Home Study has three main parts, and none of them require a perfect house or a perfect life.
- All adoptive families complete criminal background checks and child abuse registry screenings.
- It’s a standard step to help ensure a safe, secure home. We walk you through every piece of paperwork.
- An Adoption Specialist will visit your home to make sure your house is in compliance with the Arizona State Adoption Codes.
- We will point out anything that needs to be changed or updated so you will have the opportunity to correct it before the second Adoption Home Study visit.
- You will answer thoughtful questions about your childhood, relationships, parenting style, motivation to adopt, and more. It’s an opportunity to reflect on the kind of parent you want to be.
