Just over 100,000 newborns and children are adopted each year, while over 400,000 children in foster care in the U.S. are needing forever homes and pregnant women in crisis remain unaware of adoption as a beautiful option when they are unable to parent. This also does not include the children in Haiti needing loving forever families and the opportunity for a better life. As part of the process of finding loving adoptive families and a required component for the adoption journey, Building Arizona Families offers professional home study services for prospective families. Our team is experienced, supportive, and transparent about home study costs. Our team will successfully coach you through the home study process to keep you on your successful adoption journey.
Every child deserves parents that will love, support, and cherish them for the rest of their lives. Finding loving families willing to open their hearts and homes is essential to making sure that every child grows up in a safe, loving family.
Understand the Home Study Cost and Process is Essential for U.S. and International Adoptions
Every type of adoption offered at Building Arizona Families including domestic newborn, foster, and Haiti adoption, requires a professional home study report. As a state-licensed, Hague accredited adoption agency, our home study report satisfies the legal requirements for the State of Arizona, domestic adoptions in other states, and international adoptions. Our goal is to make the home study a positive experience and support you in becoming adoptive parents!

How the Home Study Process Works
The State of Arizona requires the home study social worker to spend at least 4 hours face-to-face with an adoptive family, during a minimum of 2 visits. Two hours of these visits must take place in the adoptive family’s home.
During the home study process, adoptive parents need to provide:
-
- Court Issued Birth Certificates
- Court Issued Marriage Licenses and Divorce Decrees
- Previous Year’s Tax Return
- 5 Letters of Reference (2 from family, 3 from friends)
- An Autobiography
See the full list of required home study documents HERE.
