The need never changes – foster children urgently need loving, adoptive parents to open their hearts and homes to them. Building Arizona Families is an Arizona licensed non-profit adoption agency that can help families with their Arizona child adoption process. We can facilitate the adoption of foster children from any other state in the U.S.
When families are considering adopting foster children, many questions arise. The Arizona child adoption process for foster children is relatively streamlined. The same is true for Arizona families wanting to adopt foster children from other states. When an Arizona family comes to Building Arizona Families interested in adopting from the foster care system, a caseworker meets with the family to begin the adoption process.
Arizona Child Adoption Process Details
It is important to note that adopting from foster care does NOT require adoptive families to become foster families first. It is a direct adoption process that typically takes about six months. A professional home study report is required to satisfy the legal adoption requirements. Part of the home study required for the Arizona child adoption process includes gathering legal documents and a minimum of two home visits of at least four hours each with a social worker. You can read more about the process of adopting foster children HERE.
Adopting is a miraculous way to help foster children who have suffered neglect and abuse to heal from their emotional wounds. They desperately need the safety, stability, and security of a loving family so that they can begin to bloom from the soil of a healthy family environment. We are grateful that you consider changing a vulnerable child’s life through the loving gift of adoption.
